Lets time travel back to the jazz and speakeasy epoque where musicians such as Billie Holiday helped influence the drastic turn of women's fashion from corsets and girdles, to loose and shorter carefree dresses.

The 1920's have always been a time period that fascinated me. With its rich music, art, and literature that was created at that time, it was interesting for me to study it all and pull inspiration from it to make this flapper dress inspired Spring/ Summer dress.
Focusing on Billie Holiday as my main inspiration, I created a collection for a mixture of costumes and dressy Spring/ Summer wear.
Ive always thought of myself as an old soul. Looking more on the past and what I can recreate than looking at modern trends, that's why this dress was so fun to make and design.
"I believe fashion should be fun, comfortable, and should make a statement with every footstep."

For this dress I mixed a grey and blue colored knit and a navy blue spotted chiffon to create the bow. I hand sowed the bow in place so that it would not come undone and lined the dress in the same soft knit. The dress supported only by two small buttons on each shoulder.
